Grant for Hydroponics

Dear parents, staff and the Calgary Islamic School OBK Campus In-School Hydroponics Gardening System team,

I am very pleased to inform you that the hydroponics project has been selected to receive funding as part of the Climate and Environment Student Action Challenge. Your school will receive a $1,000 in grant(maximum amount).

Additional support for the project to fill the missing amount in the budget will be required.

 A few things to get us started:

 Student Action Challenge website

Please visit the Student Action Challenge website to register and:

·         Post updates on your project;

·         Learn about other funded projects across the province;

·         Ask questions to other project teams;

·         Post pictures of your project (NOTE: All photos must be sent to Student.Action@gov.ab.ca for review before they are posted);

·         Share stories about your learnings and challenges.

 Terms and conditions/Media release forms

Everyone (students, teachers, etc.) who is part of a project team must complete a media release form (attached). Please complete the forms and send them to Student.Action@gov.ab.ca.

Formal announcement

You will receive a formal notification about your success with the Student Action Challenge along with a cheque in the coming weeks.

I’ll send out some additional information in the form of a Participant Handbook in the first few weeks of January.

If you have any questions please email Student.Action@gov.ab.ca.

Congratulations, and good luck with your project!
